CLOSED LIST
A data structure created to avoid redundant paths during the search process. It remembers every expanded node and represents the explored region of the state space graph.
CROSSOVER
Operator that combines genetic information from two parent individuals into one or two offspring. Since crossover does not introduce new gene values, its influence diminishes as the population becomes more homogeneous.
